ABOUT
Celeste Drummond is a California-licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with more than 25 years of experience working with children, adults, and families. Her professional background spans education, child welfare, behavioral health, crisis intervention, and forensic settings.
Celeste began her career as a teacher, working with children ages 3–11 for 10 years. During this time, she pursued her undergraduate education and Early Childhood Education coursework, eventually earning her degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of San Francisco. She then spent 17 years with Child Welfare Services, specializing in child abuse and neglect investigations and family reunification.
Following her work in child welfare, Celeste spent nine years in behavioral health, providing crisis assessments and interventions in community settings, including alongside law enforcement. Her clinical experience later expanded into forensic mental health, where she continues to provide clinical services within a county jail.
Today, Celeste brings this breadth of experience to her private practice, where she provides telehealth psychotherapy to adults, children, and families. She believes that developing a deeper understanding of ourselves—our experiences, relationships, emotions, and patterns—can create greater clarity and open the possibility for meaningful change.
First Session
In your first session, you will begin getting to know each other and creating a comfortable space for therapy. Celeste will ask questions about what brings you to therapy, your current situation, your background, and what you hope to gain from therapy. Together, you will begin identifying your goals and exploring the concerns that are most important to you.
The first session is also an opportunity for you to get a sense of whether therapy feels like a good fit. You do not need to have everything figured out or be prepared to share everything at once. Therapy is a process, and you can move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
Approach
Often, the answers we are seeking are already within us; finding and trusting those answers can be more challenging. Our work will focus on helping you connect with your own inner wisdom through open conversation, reflection, and mindful awareness. This is a collaborative and compassionate process, offering guidance as you develop a deeper understanding of yourself, your patterns, and what matters most to you. Together, we can explore choices that feel meaningful, and aligned with the life you want to create.
